Goodbye Sunny Day

Over the past week I have been doing Blog with Pip e course, run by the fabulous Pip Lincolne from Meet Me at Mike's. It is fantastic, Pip goes through all the techy stuff and also the whys and hows of writing.

I have been narrowing down the reasons of why I want to blog and how I want to present my bloggy self, and it is through this process I have decided to no longer blog here at Sunny Day Reverie, but start a fresh at Heart and Sons.

I hope you would like to join me.

Grandma gave us  a Zoo Friends family pass for Christmas. Which means free zoo for a year! Only 50kms from Dubbo I foresee a lot of trips to Western Plains Zoo.

Sam - The size and noises of some of the animals scare you. Lucky you have Daddy there to snuggle.

Cohen - Excited about every single animal.

Isaac - What noise does an elephant make?

The 3 of you - watching the giant Galapagos Tortoises

Elevate the mundane - week 2

Determined to change my headspace this year I have decided to try and look for the beauty in my everyday tasks. To elevate the everyday mundane to something of significance, beauty and maybe joy.
Week 2 - The sky has been smoke filled for most of summer. Casting an orange hazy glow over everything. Yesterday morning as I hung out the first of 3 loads for the day I looked up to see perfect blue.

A bit late with this weeks portrait.  I struggled to decide on Sam's. In the end I 'm not completely happy with the photo itself,  too dark and grainy, but I was really drawn to his little face in this one.

Sam - Oh! That sweet mushy face

Cohen - Feeling "a little bit sad" because it is too hot.

Isaac - My old camera, now yours. How you love it!

Elevate the mundane - week 1

I know I'm not going out on a limb when I say that sometimes motherhood and life for that matter can be tedious. There are just some tasks that have to be done and they are rarely pretty or really very enjoyable.

Determined to change my headspace this year I have decided to try and look for the beauty in my everyday tasks. To elevate the everyday mundane to something of significance, beauty and maybe joy.

Week 1 - my ironing basket had grown to mammoth proportions this week. So while all the boys were out I put on the last series of 30 Rock and got stuck in. As each item started to line up on the clothes rack I couldn't help but notice the beautiful colours, patterns and fabrics. I really don't have such a bad wardrobe.
