Feed a cold

A lurgy has come to visit us once more, although this time with less severity, but with the addition of conjunctivitis. Lucky for the boys and me, we had Daddy stay home so I could rest and recover.

The boy’s appetite hasn't been effected. If anything the cold weather seems to have increased it. Both boys graze all day then eat the main meals with gusto. How will we cope when they are teenagers?

With Daddy home it means pancakes for breakfast. Isaac gets to stir and Dad cooks.

The last of the apples from the farmers markets were stewed up with a bit of honey and cinnamon, then enjoyed with custard or yoghurt.

Delicious sourdough loaf, baked using the method in River Cottage Everyday. The favourite way to devour at the moment is warm from the oven with golden syrup.
